Problem
-
COVID-19 pandemic has claimed over half a million American lives within the last year.
-
As rapid testing and vaccinations emerge, people now have a better chance of protecting themselves from COVID-19.
-
Health disparities in the medical field means resources are limited to POC communities.
-
This means communities such as the Latinx/Hispanic community are testing and vaccinating at lower rates than others.

Assets & Components
Individual UI components created in order to establish consistency throughout the app's theme.

Logo & Branding
Maria is the name of the app as it is a popular name for Latin women. Alstroemeria, commonly called the Peruvian Lily or Lily of the Incas, is the inspiration for the logo design.

Native to South America the Alstroemeria symbolizes friendship, love, strength and devotion. They're often thought to represent mutual support and the ability to help each other through the trials and tribulations of life.
